WeCAD4You Completes advanced Exocad training program led by Seth Potter

Over a six-week period, WeCAD4You successfully carried out an in-depth Advanced Exocad Training Program, led by Seth Potter, a certified Exocad trainer. The program combined asynchronous learning with live hands-on sessions, allowing participants to progress from foundational knowledge to advanced workflows in digital dental design.

Each week included Spanish-subtitled video lessons, real intraoral scan files for practice, and a two-hour live online session to address questions and review participant designs.

Program structure and weekly breakdown

Week 1 – Level 1: Introduction and Fundamentals

Participants learned to create cases in Dental DB, navigate the Exocad interface, and complete basic designs such as crowns, bridges, splints, and models. The goal was to build a strong foundation in the software and complete their first designs from scratch.

Week 2 – Level 2 (Part 1): Workflow Optimization and Core Tools

This week covered hotkey usage, CAD file management, virtual articulator basics, pre-op scan adaptation, and implant-supported crown design. Expert Mode was also introduced.

Week 3 – Level 2 (Part 2): Aesthetic Restorations and Scan Adjustments

The focus was on inlays, veneers, provisionals, custom abutments, multiple-unit crowns, and diagnostic wax-ups. Participants also practiced dental segmentation and scan refinement techniques.

Week 4 – Level 3 (Part 1): Advanced Design and Full-Mouth Rehabilitation

Advanced features were covered, including smile design, All-on-X workflows, converting anatomy to reduced structures, connector modifications, the advanced virtual articulator, and implant case conversions.

Week 5 – Level 3 (Part 2): Complete and Partial Denture Design

Participants explored workflows for designing implant-supported bars, full dentures (single or dual arch), removable partial dentures, and creating post dam lines in complete dentures.

Week 6 – Level 3 (Part 3): Frameworks and Immediate Dentures

The final week focused on complex cases such as upper and lower framework design, immediate dentures, denture duplication, and scan editing. The program wrapped up by consolidating all learnings into removable rehabilitation workflows.

Step forward in digital lab excellence

Beyond technical tools, this program reinforced a shared belief:
the future of dental labs lies in the hands of skilled technicians — those with clinical insight, digital fluency, and a mindset of continuous improvement.

In an industry driven by innovation, ongoing training is no longer optional — it’s a key part of staying relevant, contributing more strategically to clinical outcomes, and consistently delivering high-quality results for the end patient.

WeCAD4You remains committed to supporting that standard.
